East Jerusalem: Life under the Threat of Expulsion, B'Tselem, September 2003.

"A report by B'Tselem (The Israeli Information Centre for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories) on the status of the Palestinian village of Khallet Nu'man in East Jerusalem. Since the Israeli occupation of Jerusalem and the subsequent expansion of the Jerusalem district, the village has fallen under the Israeli authority but the Municipality refuses to provide the residents with identity cards. As they are not recognised as citizens of Jerusalem, the Municipality then refuses to provide vital services, such as water, a sewage system, garbage collection and building permits.
